What do you think about LUNCHTIME by Rebecca Cobb?

I would love to read your comments about this book.  I found it endearing with the "scribbled and drawn" style of illustrations and the little girl's pictures entering her imagination and into her "reality".  The tablecloth with the growing vines and the painted crocodile are my favorites.  Of course, I love happy endings too!  Did anyone else love this book?

  1. We really enjoyed this book because it was funny and clever and had a good imgination. We found that we had to use our imagination too. We found that the book was very funny especially the part where she was having her lunch with the animals and they were telling her that children were disgusting! We liked the detail in this book. It was very clever that the illustrater used the child's pictures in the book.

  2. I'm really glad that others are looking at this book. I have looked at it several times and never noticed the table cloth growing, just shows how when you read something a lot of times you can still miss out on some of the detail. I now point this out every time I read it.....makes me look really good. Thanks :)
